Hi! I’m Phoebe, a writer and English teacher from the UK. I started teaching English after graduating from university, and loved both the freedom to travel and live in different places. I also appreciated the opportunity to connect with students and share my love of language.

Since then, I’ve taught in Spain, the UK, and now the Netherlands, and have specialised as an academic English teacher. I still love teaching all aspects of English, from group conversation courses, to IELTS, and business English. One of the most important things as a teacher is creating a safe, warm and positive learning environment for my students, and also bringing some creativity to the classroom, so no two classes are ever the same!

Outside of teaching, I love reading, spending time in one of Amsterdam’s many great cafes, going to exhibitions, and getting to know other Dutch cities.
