All private lessons are paid in advance, unless your employer is handling the payment.

Class passes for the Flexible package are valid for 3 months from the starting date.

With the Flexible package you can schedule your lessons a week in advance, depending on his/her availability.

With the Regular and Intensive package your lesson schedule will be arranged with the teacher (based on your availability) and can be changed once for free.

What are Spanish private lessons?

Spanish private lessons are 1-on-1 lessons fully tailored to your level, goals and learning pace.

For which levels are private lessons suitable?

Private lessons are suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners (A1–C1).

Can I choose my own schedule?

Yes. Private lessons are fully flexible and can be scheduled around your availability.

Where do the private lessons take place?

Lessons can be taken online, at our locations in Amsterdam, or at your place in Amsterdam. For lessons at our location you will pay € 5,00 per hour extra. The additional fee for lessons at another location in Amsterdam depends on the postal code.

We have two locations in Amsterdam: one at the Rietwijkerstraat 10 and one at the Frederik Hendrikplantsoen 98. Both locations are close to the city center, easily accessible by public transport.

How fast will I make progress with private lessons?

Thanks to full personal attention and maximum speaking time, most students make faster progress than in group courses.
Actual progress depends on the individual, the intensity of the lessons, the amount of homework, and other factors.

Who are the teachers?

All lessons are taught by qualified and experienced native Spanish teachers. All our teachers are super friendly and enthusiastic.
We will select a teacher for your private lessons based on your level, availability and focus/goals.

Can I start at any time with private lessons?

Yes, you can start private lessons at any moment during the year. From the moment of registration we need at least one week to arrange everything, before you can start.

How do the class passes work for the Flexible package?

With the Flexible package, you purchase a set number of hours, called a class pass.
You schedule your lessons with the teacher at least one week in advance, depending on availability.
Each class pass is valid for 3 months. Any unused hours expire after this period.
Once you have used all the hours on your class pass, you can simply purchase a new class pass (minimum 10 hours), which will again be valid for 3 months.

What is the add-on ‘Progression assessment & certificate’?

This add-on includes an evaluation of your progress by your teacher, based on your level, performance and learning objectives. After completing the assessment, you will receive a certificate that reflects your achieved level and progress. This is useful if you would like formal feedback on your development or need a certificate for personal or professional purposes.
The certificate you will receive is a digital PDF certificate.

Do I need books for the private lessons?

For lower levels, we recommend using a course book if you plan to take at least 24 hours of private lessons. A book helps provide structure and supports steady progress. Your teacher can advise you on the most suitable course book during the intake by phone before the start of the lessons.

What are the rescheduling / cancellation conditions?

Private lessons can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson will be charged in full, as the teacher has reserved this time specifically for you. It is possible to reschedule / cancel your lesson free of charge for a maximum of 2 times per 90 days.

What happens if the teacher needs to cancel a lesson?

If a teacher needs to cancel a lesson, the lesson will of course not be charged. We will reschedule the lesson at a convenient time or, if preferred, assign a replacement teacher.

What happens if I go on holiday?

If you are going on holiday, simply let us know in advance. Your private lessons can be paused and resumed after your holiday, depending on the validity of your lesson package and the availability of the teacher.

Can I pay in multiple instalments for the Spanish private lessons?

Unfortunately it’s not possible to pay in instalments for private lessons.

Can the invoice be sent to my employer or company?

Yes, this is possible. After registering, please contact our team so that we have all the necessary details to send the invoice to your employer or company.
