Katie, the teacher, is excellent: professional, friendly, and very attentive to students’ needs. The lessons are engaging, interactive, and well structured, which makes learning English both effective and enjoyable. I also really appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and the opportunity to meet students from different countries. Everyone at the school is kind and helpful, creating a very positive environment for learning and speaking English with confidence. I am happy to share my experience as student at Language Corner with anyone who is aiming to boost their Dutch language skills. I had 1:1 classes and I highly recommend my teacher Joshua: after an assessment of my level of Dutch, Joshua has actively listened and understood my goals. Joshua has been able to tailor and customize lessons specifically on my needs. I appreciated Joshua’s competence, empathy, patience and care throughout all lessons. The study material, the grammar references, the exercises, the corrections on mistakes and the feedback on area of improvements are some of the features that made this course among the best I have ever had. Thanks to Joshua supporting approach I won my initial lack of confidence and embarrassment on kicking off a conversation in Dutch. In addition, the whole team at Language Corner has been friendly and positive when checking in for the lessons and when interacting at the student evening meetings to practice Dutch. Yes, Language Corner is organizing regular students “meet & fun & practice” evening together with Dutch native speakers. What a great idea to learn while sharing a drink and some fun time with people from all over the world! Moreover, I enjoyed as well the venue where the lessons took place: Language Corner is located not far from beautiful Westerpark, classrooms are well designed and equipped with projectors. I’ve been taking Dutch lessons since September with Saskia (highly recommend as a teacher) and im now doing B2/C1 level Dutch. Having struggled in bigger classes, it made a difference for me learning together in a small class as it provided more opportunity to speak and get feedback. She's fun, easy going and really helps with learning specific things from the Dutch culture that you wouldn't have a chance to learn otherwise. I really enjoyed my lessons with her. She is extremely dedicated, always positive, and creates a welcoming environment where each class feels like a natural and engaging conversation. Her teaching approach goes beyond traditional language learning, making every session both enjoyable and motivating. I consistently looked forward to our weekly classes, as they combined effective learning with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. De lessen voelden comfortabel, motiverend en waren echt iets waar ik elke keer naar uitkeek. Ik kreeg veel persoonlijke aandacht en aanmoediging, waardoor ik meer zelfvertrouwen kreeg in het spreken van Engels. Ik heb echt het gevoel dat mijn Engels naar een hoger niveau is gebracht in deze periode. De lessen hebben mij geholpen om veel vooruitgang te boeken, zowel in spreken als in begrijpen van de taal. Zodra ik weer wat meer tijd heb, zou ik heel graag verder willen gaan, omdat ik gemotiveerd ben om mezelf nog verder te ontwikkelen. Voor nu ben ik al heel tevreden en trots op de vooruitgang die ik tot nu toe heb gemaakt, en ik ben erg dankbaar voor alle hulp en ondersteuning onderweg.

Afgelopen maanden heb ik online privélessen Spaans gevolgd bij Language Corner ter voorbereiding op mijn reis naar Latijns Amerika. Ik zou het iedereen aanraden als je budget het toelaat. In het begin twijfelde ik of ik wel online wilde lessen. Dit bleek helemaal geen probleem te zijn. Het werkt goed en het scheelt je een hoop reistijd! De lessen zijn van hoge kwaliteit, maar bovenal erg leuk om te volgen. Met dank aan Denisse! Mocht je een docente Spaans zoeken uit Zuid Amerika, vraag naar haar! Ze maakt lessen leuk om te volgen met een goede dosis humor en energie. Mocht ik nog een keer een vervolgcursus of een andere talencursus doen, dan kom ik zeker terug bij Language Corner!

I'd say that our teacher really cares about everyone and that would made us feel like talking to a friend and made the learning process even better than a regular course. Me apunté al curso intensivo de holandés A0-A1 y la experiencia fue muy positiva, las clases eran dinámicas, en grupos pequeños, la profesora Catalina muy docente, paciente y una gran ayuda. Today was our last day of class, and I already miss her immensely. I never imagined learning English could be so enjoyable. Teacher Roxi's dedication, creativity, and affection made each session unique. Her drawings, her mimes, and the lighthearted and fun way she taught the classes made two and a half hours feel like minutes. She was simply impeccable in every way. I'm sure I couldn't fit everything I'd like to say here to express my admiration and gratitude. I take with me not only the language learning but also the inspiration of an educator passionate about what she does. And I definitely plan to take classes with her again in the future. Keep in mind that I was not rushing with the exams planning and spent 1.5 months to go through them step by step. Great experience, great teachers - highly recommend. Magdalena, the tutor, has amazing energy and made every class engaging with interesting topics that kept the group involved. The location is also super convenient, close to Vondelpark, and I loved the small group setting, which allowed for more personal interaction. De docenten waren geweldig, ze hadden een leuke manier van lesgeven, de leersfeer was nooit saai en mijn klasgenoten waren ook geweldig. Vooral ik die altijd thuiskwam met een glimlach en nieuwe kennis van mijn Nederlandse les. I attended a whole continuous year of Dutch courses here without ever stopping and from A1 they took me to the B2 required by NT2. Well-trained professors (from Talitha to Daniel), patients, who give you the tools to improve and Isabel, the manager of the Language Center, makes you feel at home with advice and linguistic help. I attended both online (at the beginning) and in person (from B1) and I always had a good time. Daniel then was a super professor from B1 to B2. They also organize conversation evenings in the pub with other students to improve the language. I would recommend also planning C1 courses for those who want to go to a higher level. The course was great, she progressed on her English a lot and was really happy and engaged with the approach the teacher took. She went from not feeling comfortable speaking English to being able to hold conversations with practically anyone. Would definitely recommend anyone to take a course with Robert!

Very professional and patient teacher. When we asked questions, he always answered clearly and even gave example sentence for new words. He also corrected our mistakes in speaking and shared in the chat. He always inspired us to talk more in dutch and is able to understand our broken dutch. We have learnt so much from him! Y si eres principiante será imposible porque la profesora enseña 100% en holandés , por lo que no entenderás las explicaciones si no tienes conocimiento previo .La profesora enseña muy rápido porque tiene el programa predeterminado y no se puede preguntar en clase porque ella dice que debe avanzar con el libro del programa... entonces si entiendes o no , simplemente debes estar y quedarte con las dudas , porque la profesora parece un robot a toda velocidad, es como ver  un vídeo pre-grabado. Y para el precio que pagas, es un curso perdido .

I thoroughly enjoyed the lessons, and I have noticed significant improvement in my confidence when speaking English. At first, I was hesitant to engage in conversations, but thanks to Katie’s excellent teaching, I gradually became more comfortable and even eager to share more. Her use of visuals and systematic explanations greatly helped me grasp not only vocabulary and phrases but also grammar. Very professional and kind person. From disadvantages, I would say that some students had lower language level than the majority of the group. And I personaly like more strict courses ;) But it is supper cool, that all studens were HBO/WO level. It really helps a studiing process.

She is a very caring teacher. Her teaching style is very effective. She paid attention to each student in our class and did her job with great love. I loved her understanding and disciplined approach. On a personal level, her warm and cheerful nature made me feel very comfortable as a student. I feel very lucky to have met you Roxy. I found that the instructor lacked sufficient expertise and did not seem to be a professional teacher. It felt more like learning from an individual who simply knows Dutch rather than an experienced language teacher. This impacted the quality of the explanations we received for our questions, which were often not clear. Moreover, the course prioritized completing the book within the allocated time rather than actually teaching the language. This approach resulted in rapidly progressing through the book without sufficient practice. Consequently, we focused on memorizing rules to pass the exam rather than truly understanding and applying the language. Overall, the course did not meet my expectations and was a disappointment for me.

Even though everything was in Dutch, he always took time to explain and translate if we struggled. He used Zoom and other online platforms perfectly for their educational potential. Games, writing in the chat new phrases and words and making sure everyone participates made this online class awesome. It is a very fast paste course, but that is what I personally loved about it. Additionally, Isabel was very helpful before the class started. I loved the direct communication (and many phone calls) she made to make sure that even though my first intake interview fell through, I got another one quickly and every other issue was taking care of. The only suggestion for improvement I have, is that I think it's too bad that it's basically just the course and that's it. We never talked about the next steps (like paying for another course) or any additional events that are advertised in the PDF about the school. I understand that you only pay for one course, but just from a customer and a marketing perspective, I feel like this could be improved. But obviously that doesn't have any influence on the fact, that the course itself was super, and I can't wait to take my Dutch to the next level. :)

I liked the group course so much that immediately after its completion I signed up for the next course at this school. With each new lesson, I felt improvements in my conversational speech. The classes were very interesting and fun. Roxy is just a professional in her field, easy to communicate, explains everything at the highest level. I felt very comfortable on this course! But that's not all. In conversation class, the aim is for the students to converse, but in our class, the teacher talked at a stretch and occasionally we got to speak. And because there were nine of us, not everyone got around to talking. I am unfortunately not satisfied. Especially because beforehand I was promised a lesson with two/three people and not nine.

I had been focused on listening, reading and writing but needed to spend more time speaking and I'm very happy with my time at Language Corner. The comfortable facilities, the number of students in the classroom was also good enough to participate in the class, and best of all: TEACHER ROXY!!  nice, kind, funny and excellent professional. Me inscribí en el curso intensivo de inglés para dos semanas, la primera semana la hice sin problemas, en la segunda semana el instituto tuvo un inconveniente para continuar con lo que había contratado por temas que escapaban de sus manos. La primera solución que me ofrecieron no cubría mis necesidades, lo manifesté y entonces Isabel se puso en comunicación inmediatamente para intentar encontrar una alternativa. Encontramos una solución que se adaptaba perfectamente a mí. Siempre me sentí atendida y escuchada. Agradezco que se hayan esforzado de gran manera para ayudarme a cumplir mi objetivo dentro de estas dos semanas. Por otro lado, el curso ha sido mejor de lo que esperaba, los profesores son muy buenos, resuelven tus dudas y tienen excelente pedagogía. P.D.: Tuvimos un tour en bote de parte del instituto y eso fue muy COOL!!!

The teachers are really friendly, nice and helpful they provide with support on every type of exercises: listening, grammar, speaking and reading. Great mixture of participants from all backgrounds, class size not too big or too small. The teacher really drove us to speak only in Dutch, while keeping it fun and not too serious. Empecé con el A0 y Ahora estoy en A2 parte 2 y me ha parecido muy profesional, pero sobre todo ágil enseñanza de los maestros, quienes saben explicar a través de diversas dinámicas el idioma holandés. I took some lessons with Vivianne, and WHAT A FANTASTIC TEACHER SHE IS. Vivianne knows her subject perfectly, she's amazingly able to analyze the strong and weak spots in student's knowledge and how to effectively train what should be trained. I took an A1-B1 intensive course a half year ago, and after 5 months pause, I thought I've forgotten everything for good. But Vivianne not only helped me to "restore" what I've known before but also she systematized everything in my head. I hardly spoke a sentence in my first lesson. After the 8th lesson with Vivianne, I was telling life stories =) No less important thing is that Vivianne is a charmingly positive, friendly, and supportive personality! You don't get bored with the lesson, because it's just the right balance between productive and funny exercises! Definitely, I'm going to be back to Language Corner!

The classes are amazing, didactics and fun. You won't be bored because they teach you in a proactive way! I have been there taking the conversational English courses and the Dutch course too, that help me a lot improving my English skills and learning the Dutch language.
