Hi guys! My name is Martijn and I teach Dutch at Language Corner. I am originally from The
Netherlands, but also grew up in New-Zealand for a while when I was young. Still, Amsterdam is my
favourite city and I have been living here for quite some years now. 

I have a degree in law but soon found out that I get a lot more energy from working with people and
teaching things they can use in everyday life. 

I love surfing and traveling around the world to meet new people from other cultures. During my
travels I noticed that it’s really so much more fun when you can communicate with the people
around you. I started taking Spanish classes rapidly when I was in Central America and soon found
out that I wanted to start teaching professionally myself. I have been doing this now with great
pleasure ever since! 

Learning a new language can be challenging but also a lot of fun! I know this from my own
experiences and therefore like to create interactive classes that contain lots of energy and pleasure
for everyone.
