Hoi allemaal!

My name is Michelle, and I have been teaching at Language Corner for almost 10 years! I have been passionate about languages for as long as I can remember. When I was a child, my mom gave me a book with Italian phrases so I wouldn’t get bored on our way to Italy. I had so much fun studying these words and using them during our vacation. That was when I fell in love with languages.

Throughout my childhood, I dreamed of moving to Italy, but as I grew older, I decided to study Spanish and translation. In 2012, I moved to Chile in South America to study and work. In Santiago, I started working as a Dutch teacher, preparing students for their integration exams. I enjoyed this so much that I continued teaching in the Netherlands when I returned five years later.

I would describe my lessons as interactive and fun, with a strong focus on conversation. In my free time, I love being creative, reading about Dutch history, learning languages, walking in the forest with my dog, and of course playing with my beautiful two-year-old.
