Safia

Profesora de holandés
Hi there, I’m Safia! I’m a Dutch language teacher and have always been fascinated by accents, dialects, and the small quirks that bring a language to life. Like many LC teachers, I love traveling, and it has shown me how even a few local words can spark smiles and genuine connection.
I grew up in a multicultural setting, which taught me early on how learning a language can help someone feel rooted in a new culture. With a background in Language and Culture Studies, I first worked as an Innovation Officer in government, focusing on emerging technologies and their intersection with education. Afterwards, I moved into self-employed work on writing, education, and communication projects. I’ve also led adventure travel groups, which (much like teaching) gave me plenty of experience guiding people through unfamiliar environments.
In my classes, I aim to create a space that feels personal, where students feel comfortable experimenting, making mistakes, asking questions, and growing their confidence step by step.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me writing kids’ stories with mischievous animals or exploring the outdoors.
